Variations: Paintings by Lin Loen & Ceramics by Andy Vessely

Both Loen and Vessely express affinities with Asian art in their creations. “I reject perfection,” says Loen, “emphasizing simplicity and freedom from rules. Ideas are implied rather than spelled out.” Vessely’s high-fired stoneware vessels are influenced by Chinese, Korean, and Japanese pottery in the flowing forms, textured surfaces and layered glazes.
